Free Salsa Dancing

Come and enjoy a night full of Salsa with the Omicron Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Inc. and the Phi Chapter of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc!

Learn how to dance New York style salsa (On2, if you don't know what that is, you should DEFINITELY come through) during the beginning portion of the event, dance freely for the next, and enjoy a performance at the end.

Feel free to invite friends, and bring a partner!

*** Check in at the front desk in the Coles gym, and say you're there for the LUL/SIA Salsa Social to be allowed entry to the Dance Studio. Bring your student ID's and for non-NYU students bring any other form of picture ID. Please either respond as "attending" to the Facebook event http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=246619380181, or send an email to Elvin Marmol at em1542@nyu,edu to RSVP and be added to the guestlist for the event.

Hope to see you all there!

  1. Hi,

Salsa dancing is an excellent workout. If you are just learning to salsa dance you most likely will be working anaerobically. But as you advance to quicker salsa movements that are more complex like the professional salsa dancers twirling through the air with jumps and intense spins requiring strength, you will most likely be working your body anaerobically. This means that your muscles are working at a high intensity level.
